Colors. Specific colors can get your memories flowing, maybe the color yellow will bring back memories of running through a field of sunflowers with a sibling when you were little.
Find some of the craziest and weirdest moments from your life and write them all, then pick two or three of these moments and try to write a simple topic that explains those moments together and ties them together. Not all ideas will go good together but some topics can make the craziest and super different ideas far fetched and make sense together.
You could use colors as your base of the plot, maybe your entire book revolves around colors or the lack of, similar to the book the Giver. Anything can come from colors or what colors can represent. I had a dream once and there were nine children and they were each connected to a different colored orb and each orb gave their connected child a special power, and all the powers were different.
