Coaster of Feels

Being a girl can be so tough sometimes, you are constantly going through a roller coaster of mood swings and emotions. Sometimes I am angry, pacing back and forth and wanting to smash everything and everyone who dares get in my way, and then five seconds I'll be curled up on my bed, crying my eyes out. The worst is when you're mad at someone (specifically a boy) and he just keeps talking and making you more and more angry, therefore making it worse and worse. If he would just shut up and leave you alone for a while you would be able to calm down and be reasonable, but guys RARELY do that and it can be very irksome. How do you guys handle mood swings? What do you do if you're mad at someone and they're just making it worse and won't leave you alone? Maybe your characters go through something similar, always jumping back and forth between emotions, but they don't even realize it, maybe the audience doesn't realize it either until they finish the book a...

Favorite Spring Activity

It's that time of year again, the harsh, cold Winter months are finally over and the trees are sprouting leaves and blossoms are popping up everywhere. It's nice and warm with a cool breeze, the perfect temperature and weather to spend the day outside and do some fun spring things. Spring has always been my favorite season, it represents new life and new growth, and a lot of new things tend to come into your life during this time of year. In fact, I was born in spring, maybe that's one reason I love it so much ;) One of my favorite activities to do in the spring is to get some friends together and go to a park or green place. We can do anything there, have a picnic, play games, swing on the swings if there are any, and pretty much have the time of our lives without being distracted by electronics and things. Tell me about your favorite spring things to do in the comments or in an email! I'd love to try out some of the things you do. Have a British day -Kac

7 Things To Do

7 Things to do real quick that do not require an excessive amount of planning:  1. Call up some friends and through an improv party, you have no clue what is going to happen next and the surprise is what makes it fun!  2. Grab your bike and a friend or two (or go alone) and just go on a biking trip. Each time you reach an intersection, pick a random direction and go till the next intersection then pick a whole new direction. Keep it random! If you want you can even bring along some paper and pens to create a little map of where you have been, and feel free to write down some street names so you don't get lost.  3. Walk (yes walk) to some friends' houses and see if they can go on a mini walking trip to a nearby gas station with you. (I'll write about an experience I had with this in my next post.)  4. Bake some cookies and leave them on a neighbors doorstep, unannounced and make sure they don't know it's you. Feel free to write an anonymous note to go along w...

Fireless Fireplace

Earlier today I was at a walling place, kitchen place, some kind of store or whatever and I saw this. At first, I thought it was a nice cute little marble fireplace, and then I saw it. The inside. This is no spectacular marble fireplace, with a few logs inside, maybe some burning embers and black ash. Nope, this isn't even a fireplace at all. This is a silly replica of a fireplace that doesn't even have a fake fire in it! Just plain black/brown marble. My first thoughts when I realized this were 'why would anybody build a false fireplace? There is absolutely no point' and there really is absolutely no point. What do you guys think about this strange piece of work that serves absolutely no purpose whatsoever? I find it very pretty to look at but mostly just a waste of money. Are there any crazy things you guys have seen in this world? Feel free to write to me and tell me about them, I'll make a post with some of your things. And I dare you, that as you go out int...

Sparks

So, last Saturday night I had some girls come over for a little Girls' Night party thing. And we hung out and watched Ever After (which I discovered was a 'chick flick' though it does not seem like it). Anywhosits, my mom came down at one point (we were in the basement) and told us that someone was here for a friend of mine. And I walk her upstairs. I turn into the entry way and there in the doorway was this really cute boy, and not the popular kind of cute, but the nerdy kind of cute, and those cute nerdy boys are the kind to set my heart thumping, most of the time. I asked him which brother he was (we'd had a discussion about her brothers the day before) and she said he was her seventeen year old brother (only a year older than me!). I hugged her goodbye at the door and told him I liked his glasses, seriously they were great glasses. So they left and I go back down to the movie and immediately take out my phone and say 'your brother's cute' and she respo...

Three Scenes

A dark pit opened up underneath me,  I fall down into the dark, falling, falling, it doesn't seem to end. After what seems like forever, I land, well sink, into a giant cushion feeling object.  I'm looking up at the pale circle of light before it closes and i'm surrounded by darkness. I'm dead aren't I. I can't hear anything except my own breathing. I slowly try to sit up, I fell like i'm on a giant soft bean bag. Unable to sit up, I let myself fall backwards into it. A sudden wave of hopelessness and tiredness washes over me. I feel the darkness pressing on me, and i give up to the hopelessness and my eyes close. I climb up on the roof, watching my step in case i slip in the dark. Safely making it to the top I sit down. The night air is cool and I sigh. I look around dat the other roofs of the houses and buildings around me, the roof i'm on is the highest.  Nothing seems to move, and there is almost no sound. With a tear in my eye I slowly stand. ...
