Nicknames, everyone has one, or at least most people do. I have had many nicknames over the course of my life. Sixth grade I was known as the book worm, I would not be surprised if I was actually elected as the school bookworm that year, because all I ever did that year was read. Then, Jr. High came. And it was like WHAM, tons of new people, most whom I had never seen before in my life.
In my good group of friends I became known as Owl, because they said I was very wise...and very curious. There was also the nickname of Thing 4, the Lost Thing. This latest nickname, came in a group of friends, whom were all nicknamed along with me--we nicknamed ourselves. And here are those who were in our little Thing group: Kiersten, she was Thing One; Kirsten, she was Thing Two; Kirsten, she was Thing Four and a different Kirsten from Thing Two; Kacie *cough* me *cough*, Thing Four the Lost Thing; Krysta, Thing Five, No Thing; and some other girl who's name I forgot but she was Thing 394. Yes, that was our magical Thing group. We still call each other by those nicknames sometimes, not always, but sometimes.
As time went on, I did not receive many nicknames after that (apart from being the 'Good Sister' in my Honorary Family of Jr High). My latest, and one of my favorite nicknames, was given to me today, yes today, by my friend Jacob, also known as the Alpha Ginger Cheese Horse (story for another time), and so I am now Kacie...the Hug-Aholic! Isn't it just splendid? I do looove hugs.
Throughout the years, I have been given nicknames, yes, but I have also give a great deal of nicknames in my time as well. One of my favorites is the nickname Sherlock, which I gave to my friend because when I first met him he was dressed quite similarly to BBC Benedict Cumberbatch's Sherlock Holmes. Another nickname is Cuddle Boy, because when I first met him, we were at efy (summer camp in a way) and as everyone was trying to get to know each other, the boys were asked the question 'if you could cuddle with an animal, what would it be?' and this friend of mine responded 'a girl' and therefore became Cuddle Boy. There has also been Abraham Lincoln, Chilli Pepper, Coconut Head, Lil' Lady (recent of last Saturday), Liliana Rravo MCLXVIII my pup, Panaderia, Sparkles, O'Nii San, and many, many others.
What are some nicknames you have been given? What are nicknames you have given to close friends and such? Let me know in the comments, I love reading what you have to say! Have a British day -Kac
